Beagle Books uses SMS to communicate with clients and prospective clients about their accounting, bookkeeping, tax, payroll, and fractional-CFO engagements. Categories of messages include:
- Client care — one-to-one responses to client questions, document requests, and engagement coordination.
- Account notifications — monthly close alerts, invoice issued, payment received, payroll run confirmations, tax filing confirmations, document-ready notices.
- Appointment reminders — confirmations and reminders for scheduled calls, monthly reviews, quarterly tax planning, year-end strategy sessions, and CFO check-ins.
- Tax-season notices — deadline reminders, organizer requests, refund-status updates, estimated payment reminders, missing-document prompts.
- Informational updates — occasional informational messages about Beagle Books services and policies.
How to opt in
- This SMS sign-up form (at beaglebooks.net/sms-signup) — complete the form above and check the optional SMS consent box to opt in. We log the consent timestamp, IP address, and submitted phone number.
- Reply START — users who previously opted out may text START, YES, or SUBSCRIBE to any Beagle Books SMS number to resubscribe.
Message frequency
Message frequency varies based on your account activity and the time of year (e.g., higher around tax filing deadlines, lower mid-summer). Typical frequency is 2–15 messages per month per active client.

Supported on all major U.S. mobile carriers (AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, US Cellular, and others). Message and data rates may apply according to your wireless plan. Beagle Books does not charge for receiving SMS — only your carrier's standard messaging rates apply.
